This privacy policy describes how axile AS ("axile", "we", "us") handles personal data collected through the website axile.no and through correspondence with us.

What we collect and why

Email correspondence

When you contact us through email — including by clicking a mailto: link on this site — we receive your name, email address, and the contents of your message. We process this data to respond to your enquiry and, if relevant, to deliver services you request.

Legal basis: legitimate interest (GDPR Article 6(1)(f)) and, where relevant, performance of a contract (Article 6(1)(b)).

Server logs

Our website is hosted by Cloudflare, Inc. Cloudflare automatically logs technical data when you visit the site, including IP address, browser type, and timestamp. This data is used to protect the site against abuse and to ensure technical stability.

Legal basis: legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f)).

Analytics

We do not currently run web analytics on this site. No analytics script is active, no analytics cookies are set, and no usage data is collected or processed for analytics purposes.

If we reintroduce analytics, we will use a privacy-first tool that does not use cookies, does not track individuals across sites, and does not collect personal data — and we will update this policy before it goes live.

How long we keep data

  • Email correspondence: retained for the duration of the business relationship and a reasonable period thereafter. Correspondence related to business transactions is retained for up to five years in accordance with Norwegian bookkeeping requirements. Other correspondence may be deleted sooner when no longer needed. We delete correspondence upon request, subject to legal retention obligations.
  • Server logs: retained by Cloudflare according to their standard policy, typically 30 days.
  • Analytics data: no analytics data is currently being collected.

We do not sell or share personal data with third parties for marketing purposes.

Your rights

Under GDPR, you have the right to:

  • File a complaint with the Norwegian Data Protection Authority (Datatilsynet)
